Role Overview
As a Provisional Psychologist, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals facing challenges related to unemployment. Your expertise will be crucial in providing therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing their job readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite clinics offering evidence-based interventions tailored to individuals and groups, ranging from adolescents to seniors.
- Implement vocational strategies to improve job seekers' readiness, utilizing work-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
- Manage your schedule effectively to meet client needs and maintain a balanced workload.
- Facilitate mini-mental health training sessions for employment service staff.
- Deliver structured group programs that simulate workplace environments, fostering a sense of purpose, routine, social interaction, community building, physical activity, and motivation.
- Employ positive strategies to assist individuals in managing stress, enhancing well-being, and boosting confidence.
- Collaborate with local health professionals and services as necessary.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key referrers and clients.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to support individuals with diverse clinical and psychosocial challenges. This role requires both independent work and collaboration within a multidisciplinary allied health team.
Essential Qualifications
- An accredited Psychology degree.
- Full registration or eligibility for provisional registration with the relevant authority.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A customer-centric approach with a focus on building strong client relationships.
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to a vehicle.
