About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter/Plumber to join our Operations team in Thomastown VIC, on a Permanent Full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and timely delivery of field activities related to gas escapes, disconnections, and reconnections of Domestic and Commercial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve efficient and effective field activities
  • Investigate and rectify supply issues
  • Respond and classify gas leaks according to the APA Group Leak Management Plan
  • Utilize equipment to pinpoint probable sources of gas leaks
  • Re-light appliances for end-users
  • Maintain awareness of personal safety and that of colleagues and the general public
  • Participate in a rotating roster with occasional weekend, night, and afternoon work

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
  • Licensed or registered gas fitter
  • C Class driver's licence
  • Demonstrated experience in gas distribution or field maintenance is highly regarded
  • Customer-focused with strong communication skills
