About the Role

Aspect Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Principal Statutory Planner to join our client's team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the Statutory Planning team, you will be responsible for assessing priority planning applications, developing and evaluating development plans, and providing expert advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Approval: Assess priority planning applications promptly and efficiently, adhering to relevant Acts and policies.
  • Development Planning: Develop and evaluate development plans, complex planning applications, land information planning certificates, and customer inquiries.
  • Customer Service: Provide accurate, efficient, and customer-focused development approvals process for planning, development plans, subdivisions, and liquor license applications.
  • Policy Development: Demonstrate problem-solving and policy development skills using technical expertise related to planning, subdivision, and liquor licensing matters.
  • Team Leadership: Possess a solid understanding of relevant legislation affecting planning, liquor licenses, development plans, development contribution plans, subdivisions, and various related Acts.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant tertiary degree with several years of relevant experience or possess lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
  • Regional Planning Knowledge: Have a solid understanding of regional planning issues.
  • Driver's License: Possess a current Victorian Driver's License.
