Civil Project Engineer Job Description

At Clough, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Project Engineer to join our team on the Project Ceres urea plant in Karratha (FIFO).

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating design, procurement, and construction elements for civil and related earthworks packages on the project. This includes ensuring performance and delivery of engineering services to support project outcomes against agreed project budgets and schedules.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Civil Project Engineer to work on a landmark project that will generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase. You will have the chance to collaborate with all levels of management across the project and interface with Client and other key external stakeholder representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the successful execution of engineering services to support project outcomes against agreed project budgets and schedules.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including the Project Engineering team, Site Supervision, Subcontractors, Client, and Vendors to deliver packages of work.
  • Monitor progress, resolve technical issues, and contribute to a positive safety culture.
  • Prepare technical specifications for equipment and package procurement.
  • Participate in the completion of construction work on site, including involvement with Installation Test Records and close-out of punch list items.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Experience delivering engineering and construction packages, particularly with a bulk-earthworks, civil, and concrete background.
  • A practical-minded hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills.
  • A solutions-driven attitude with a strong focus on achieving results in a safe and timely manner.
  • Knowledge of Project Management - Cost, Planning Reporting.
  • Previous experience in a site-based role within an Engineering/Construction environment.
  • Ability to form strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
