Australian Christian College (ACC) is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team in Launceston, Tasmania. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and hearts of our students.

ACC is a non-denominational Christian education organisation that aims to equip students spiritually, academically, socially, and physically to flourish in life. With 14 schools across five states and a strong commitment to excellence, we provide a supportive environment for teachers to grow professionally and personally.

The Role

We are looking for a capable and relational educator who desires to inspire our student community. As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Christian formation of students through biblically grounded and Christ-focused teaching practices;
  • Delivering Pastoral Care from a genuine Christian faith, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment;
  • Contribution to an inclusive approach to learning, promoting cross-cultural understanding and academic rigor;
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with the prescribed curriculum, utilizing an Explicit Instruction model;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a conducive learning environment, enhancing student interests, skills, and abilities.

Your Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Suitable qualifications and experience in Primary education;
  • A capacity to work in a growing school with a hands-on approach, embracing challenges and opportunities;
  • High motivation, confidence in technology usage, and a servant heart with a vibrant Christian faith;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff;
  • A great attention to detail and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
