The Opportunity

This National HR role reports to the General Counsel and involves collaborating with Regional HR Advisors and branch Management teams to deliver operational and strategic HR solutions. As a leader of the National HR team, you will have a significant impact on:

  • Developing and delivering HR strategy across all national branches through collaboration with the Executive leadership team.
  • Implementing HR improvement projects.
  • Partnering with Management to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Supporting management levels and employees with employment legislation and relevant awards; advising on benefits and grievance resolution.
  • Managing the payroll team for smooth delivery.
  • Collaborating with national recruitment and learning & development teams to attract, retain, and develop high-calibre employees.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the HR team.
  • Managing annual salary reviews and company bonus payments.
  • Maintaining HR policies and procedures to reflect legislative and industry requirements.
  • Collaborating with workplace health and safety teams to promote safety as a priority.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have experience as an HR Manager in a medium to large enterprise, with strong business acumen and ability to positively enable our people. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An enthusiastic team-based work ethic, leading the HR team across Australia.
  • Strong partnership-building capabilities with a broad range of business operators.
  • Working knowledge of applicable IR laws and regulations impacting the same or similar industry.
  • Appreciation of developments and trends in HR practices in the same or similar industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant formal qualifications in HR.
  • Experience working in an industrial business preferred.
  • Ability to travel interstate.
