About the Role

The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in partnering with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive financial planning and analysis activities. This includes developing the annual budget, mid-term plans, and managing monthly rolling forecasts. The position also ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards and tax requirements, and effective capacity management to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare budget, rolling forecast to actual, financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Development and monitoring of key capacity ratios
  • Conduct detailed business development and cost analysis
  • Anticipate the needs of business stakeholders
  • Create reports and analysis that enable stakeholders to make decisions, strategies and support business and commercial activities
About You

Ideally, you'll have experience in accounting business services with a focus on commercial planning and analysis. This role will also suit people with a strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and Australian tax regulations but who are eager to develop their expertise in financial planning and analysis and business partnering. It's essential to have a proven ability to deliver clear, concise, and digestible financial and management reporting. Basic understanding of construction and infrastructure contracts would be highly regarded but isn't essential.
