Are you prepared to transition into a dynamic role within the Flight Standards Team?

Reporting directly to the Manager of Flight Standards and based at our Head Office, the Flight Standards Training Coordinator will manage the administrative aspects of our Training Management System (TMS) and ensure precise oversight of aircrew training and evaluation records in compliance with CASA regulations and our stringent internal protocols. Working in close partnership with the Flight Standards Team, you will be responsible for the development and refinement of TMS grading sheets, the optimization of reporting structures, and the monitoring of training personnel qualifications to maintain our dedication to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Flight Standards Training Coordinator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the administrative management of the TMS
  • Creating and updating TMS grading systems
  • Maintaining accurate crew records within the TMS
  • Ensuring that individual aircrew training and evaluation records are kept in accordance with CASA and the Training and Checking Manual;
  • Collaborating with the Flight Standards Team to develop appropriate TMS grading sheets.
  • Enhancing the reporting framework of the TMS for effective management of Trainers/Trainees and improvements to our training programs.
  • Monitoring the qualifications and approvals of Instructors engaged in approved CASR Part 142 activities to ensure they possess the necessary qualifications. Coordinating with Rostering for the renewal of any such qualifications.
  • Monitoring the qualifications and approvals of Trainers and Checkers involved in Part 121/ CASR 61 activities to ensure they meet the required qualifications and approvals. Coordinating with Rostering for the renewal of any such qualifications.
  • Acting as a delegate for the Cabin Crew Standards Manager as needed.
  • Ensuring adherence to Company policies, procedures, Operations Manual requirements, and all CASA/Alliance Airlines compliance standards;
  • Engaging in other project work as directed by the Manager of Flight Standards
  • Complying with safety and security laws and other relevant regulatory requirements
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures

Safety & Security Compliance

  • Fostering and upholding a high standard of quality, safety, and security compliance as mandated by the Alliance Airlines Company Safety Manual among all subordinate staff.
  • Encouraging safety & security reporting within ESMS by all personnel.
  • Ensuring all staff under their supervision receive the necessary level of safety and security training.
  • Maintaining a high standard of OH&S and environmental compliance in accordance with state regulations.
  • Ensuring each member of the Flight Operations department follows all instructions contained in the Operations Manual relevant to their duties or activities.
  • Ensuring employees are informed of company safety and security policies and procedures, and that their actions align with acceptable regulations and company standards.
  • Effectively managing all staff within the Department, including the appropriate use of company resources.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience in one of the following areas is essential:
    • Prior experience in a training rostering role
    • Previous role as a Training/Check Captain or TRI
    • Experience in a Flight Standards department
  • A current Australian Passport or the eligibility to work permanently in Australia

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of Flight Training and Checking programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Alliance Airlines Training and Checking Manual

Skills:
