We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Grounds Person to work at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in a casual role that requires weekend work and holiday period shifts.

Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of internal and external areas, including pathways and public facilities over 4km long. This will involve regular cleaning of litter bins, pathways, and public areas using various equipment such as industrial pressure cleaners and blower backpacks weighing up to 15kg.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Physical cleaning and maintenance of facilities
  • Operate heavy machinery, use of Industrial pressure Cleaner, and extensive walking, bending, lifting, and carrying in an outdoor environment
  • Maintain safe usage of equipment and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements

Applicants should have previous experience working within a small team and ability to follow direction without supervision. Physical fitness is essential to work outdoors in all weathers and walk long distances.
