Family Preservation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Preservation Specialist to join our collaborative care team.
The successful candidate will provide intensive wraparound case management services to complex families who present with multiple demands, ensuring the safety and developmental needs of children and young people are addressed.
This is a key role in our organization, requiring the ability to undertake risk assessments, plan and implement appropriate intervention strategies, and engage hard-to-reach families.
The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector, including experience working with Child Protection. They will also have a demonstrated understanding of theoretical approaches relevant to working with infants, children, young people and families, including the Best Interests Framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide intensive wraparound case management services to complex families
- Undertake risk assessments and plan and implement appropriate intervention strategies
- Engage hard-to-reach families through assertive outreach and other means
- Develop and lead care team planning, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for families
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or related field
- Considerable experience within the child, youth and family welfare sector
- Demonstrated understanding of theoretical approaches relevant to working with infants, children, young people and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
