The Role
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Thrive North Gosford (Koolyangarra). As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for menu planning, ordering supplies, and collaborating with families and educators to create healthy and nutritious meals for our children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking meals for 6 hours a day, Monday to Friday
- Menu planning and ordering supplies to meet the nutritional needs of our children
- Collaborating with families and educators to develop new meal ideas and improve our menu
- Overseeing the day-to-day duties within the kitchen
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Food Handling Certificate or Certificate in Commercial Cookery
- A current NSW Employee Working With Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
- A passion for working with children and in a collaborative environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children and families
