Student Support and Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Student Support and Engagement Coordinator. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the success of our students by ensuring they have access to the resources and information they need to achieve their academic goals.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely advice to students, and will work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of student support services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graduation reporting: Compile and process graduation reports, ensuring eligible students are assessed as having completed their courses, approved by the Academic Board and subsequently included in the Graduation Ceremonies.
  • Show Cause applications: Process Show Cause applications and corresponding communications.
  • Special Circumstances applications: Process Special Circumstances applications and Formal Complaints and corresponding communications.
  • Advisory services: Provide accurate, timely advice to students on matters such as course completion, special circumstances, and graduation procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (for example Communication, Management, Business or Social Science) or equivalent experience.
  • Practical experience: Practical experience in a service and student-facing role within a tertiary education environment or similar distributed service environment.
  • Communication skills: Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to consult and liaise with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Relational skills: Demonstrated ability to relate well to students, liaise with staff within the Colleges and external stakeholders.
