Aboriginal Liaison Role Opportunity
">Are you passionate about supporting your community to access healthcare? We are seeking an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person to join our team of Liaison Officers who provide confidential cultural, emotional and wellbeing support to patients and their families.
">This is a designated position, only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People. The successful applicant will have a thorough understanding of the barriers for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People accessing healthcare.
">The role involves providing culturally appropriate care to patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with complex needs. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local communities, health services and other stakeholders to promote improved health outcomes.
">To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required prior to commencing this role.
