About This Role

This is a senior-level position that requires extensive experience as a market risk quantitative analyst in a clearing house, banking, or finance environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative methodologies and be able to develop and document complex financial models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop stress testing and margin methodologies for new products and initiatives.
  • Contribute to back-testing methodology and framework.
  • Develop/contribute to various other quantitative methodology initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the team and ensure their work is delivered on time to a high standard.
  • Ensure any new models or changes to existing models are documented to a high standard and follow appropriate governance processes.
Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have at least 7 years' experience in a similar role, with a tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline. They will also need to have advanced statistical analysis and modelling skills, as well as excellent communication skills and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Central Counterparty Clearing Risk.
  • Broad understanding of the RBA's Financial Stability Standards (FSS) for Central Counterparties.
  • Experience with designing, building, testing and deploying code into production.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.
