About the Role

The Cardiology Department at Canberra Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the ACT and surrounding region. The coronary care unit manages a significant volume of acute admissions and occasions of service, including medical clinics, nursing clinics, and cardiac diagnostic investigations and therapeutic interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in an on-call roster to provide complex cardiac physiology diagnostic investigations and therapeutic interventions.
  • Support the management of the cardiac physiology service and allied health staff.
  • Develop and provide education and training for staff and students.
  • Contribute to the continual professional development of the allied health group.
Requirements
  • High level of subject matter expertise in cardiac physiology.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body.
