About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our consumers, supporting both your peers and less experienced staff. This position allows you to develop your clinical skills while contributing to the growth and development of the nursing team within a culturally sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to consumers, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
  • Support and develop less experienced staff, promoting a culture of learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Aboriginal Health Care Team to deliver culturally sensitive services.
  • Engage with the community to ensure our services meet their needs.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; current practicing certificate.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience; demonstrated competence in nursing practice.
  • Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills; ability to work within a multidisciplinary team; experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Aboriginal culture and health issues; knowledge of relevant legislation and quality improvement systems in healthcare.
  • Attributes: Ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and build effective relationships within the community.
