About This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Dementia Specialist to join our team and take on the role of professional lead in dementia care. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, expertise in clinical leadership, and the ability to mentor staff to improve their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical guidance and consultancy to support the effective management of dementia-related behaviors.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills in dementia care.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement effective care plans that meet the needs of residents.
  • Mentor and coach staff to improve their performance and advance their careers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Extensive experience in dementia care and behavior management within aged care settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and coaching staff to achieve improved outcomes.
