Senior Frontend Engineer

The Firesoft People team is seeking a skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Proptech/Data team in Sydney or remotely. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will collaborate with data engineers, frontend software engineers, and product managers to design and implement innovative frontends for our data offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with data engineering and frontend teams to create high-quality web interfaces for big data.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to automate manual tasks, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Diagnose, triage, and resolve defects in frontend applications.
  • Coordinate with product management to estimate, refine, and plan the product roadmap for upcoming features and functionality.
  • Contribute to improving the overall quality of our company's software.
  • Assess and implement new technologies and processes.
  • Mentor other team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing production-quality software.
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and frontend languages.
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
  • Knowledge of React tools, including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
  • Understanding and use of RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with continuous integration/deployment toolsets and infrastructure as code.
  • End-to-end test automation experience.
  • Experience in creating test automation frameworks using tools like node.js, pytest, and Cypress.
