About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Spa Therapist to join our team at JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa. As a Spa Therapist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional spa treatments to our guests, including facials, massage, and body treatments. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring that all treatments are delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and skin analysis prior to treatments
• Provide body and facial waxing/tinting services, facial treatments, manicures and pedicures, and spa rituals
• Suggest treatment plans for future re-bookings
• Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products
• Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy
• Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service

Requirements

• Recent experience as a beauty/spa therapist
• Experience and confidence in spa treatments such as facials, massage, and body treatments
• Previous experience in a 5-star hotel property (highly regarded)
• Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Certificate IV in Massage
• Excellent personal presentation standards and strong communication skills
• Able to anticipate guests' needs and build genuine connections
• Reception experience in a similar environment is highly advantageous
