Aviation Support Manager

About the Role:

This is a key leadership position responsible for managing Defence aviation contracts, client liaison, operational support, and business development. The role will play a central part in shaping the future of Defence Aviation Support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Defence aviation contract performance, reporting, and compliance;
  • Lead day-to-day operational coordination and logistic support for deployments and exercises;
  • Provide strategic and tactical support for new business capture and contract mobilisation;
  • Maintain high-level client relationships across Defence and foreign military stakeholders;
  • Liaise with government and Defence entities to support regional contingency and humanitarian response missions;
  • Support base operations, facilities management, and Defence personnel admin needs;
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across operations, safety, engineering, and finance.
What You Need To Succeed:

We are seeking an agile and detail-oriented professional with a strong Defence and aviation background, and a passion for high-quality service delivery.

  • At least 5 years' experience in a Defence-related role, preferably with exposure to rotary wing operations;
  • A B. Aviation degree would be looked upon favourably;
  • Strong project and contract management skills with a focus on compliance and reporting;
  • Commercial awareness of tendering processes with a sound understanding of business development;
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship skills, particularly with Defence and government agencies;
  • Experience with operational logistics support, deployment coordination, and aircraft readiness;
  • Ability to hold or obtain a Defence Security Clearance and Aviation Security ID.
