Job Title: Senior Civil Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to contribute to delivering innovative solutions in all facets of tailings storage facilities and other earth structures. As a Civil Designer, you will work on civil projects for mining clients, utilizing your expertise in 3D Civil design, material take-off, and schedule development.

You will be responsible for designing embankments, civil structures, and roads, as well as coordinating and planning the work of design and documentation resources. Your ability to interact effectively with people at all levels is crucial in this role.

This position requires strong communication and reporting skills, as you will work closely with other members of the group and provide support and mentoring to junior staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or associated qualification in civil design.
  • 7-10 years' relevant experience working on tailings/mine waste related projects locally or internationally, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake engineering design.
  • Demonstrated AutoCAD and Civil 3D capability in drafting and detailing civil projects within a consulting environment.
  • Ability to coordinate and plan the work of design and documentation resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.
