Job Title: Education Support Assistant

The role of an Education Support Assistant is to provide support and assistance to students, teachers, and the educational team in a school environment.

  • This includes providing individualized support to students with diverse needs
  • Assisting teachers with lesson preparation, implementation, and assessment tasks
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student growth and development
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required by the education sector
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent qualifications are preferred
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration and teamwork
  • Able to work effectively in a dynamic team environment with minimal supervision

  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities and circumstances
  • Patient and understanding demeanor when interacting with students and colleagues
Working Conditions:
  • Work will be conducted in a school environment with regular contact with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Able to lift, move, and carry equipment and materials as needed
  • May be required to work varying shifts including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings
