Job Overview

A Tradesperson in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is responsible for installing, testing, servicing, and repairing industrial, commercial, and domestic refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heating systems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career with a reputable Host Employer in South Australia. As a Tradesperson, you will work on a range of installations, including air-conditioning systems in homes and refrigeration units for mass food storage or transport.

You will be part of a well-established business with commercial and residential clients across South Australia.

Responsibilities
  • Install and repair components of cooling and refrigeration systems, including compressors, motors, condensers, and evaporators.
  • Assess and replace copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil, and chilled water.
  • Conduct operational tests on refrigeration systems, checking mechanisms and making adjustments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on various installations.
  • Evaluate and comply with local and national regulations.
  • Carry out fault-finding.
Requirements
  • Able to work with hand and power tools.
  • Enjoy and have an aptitude for technical work.
  • Able to work patiently, systematically, and thoroughly.
  • Normal colour vision.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be punctual, well-presented, take pride in their work, highly motivated, keen to learn, and have very high attention to detail. They must also hold a current driver's license (P1, P2, Full) and a white card, with a focus on health and safety.
