Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team in delivering AI-powered solutions to one of our federal government clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the use of DevOps and MLOps as they apply to data science activities with Azure Machine Learning Studio and Cognitive Services. They will also be able to apply judgment and critical thinking skills to problem-solve and have demonstrated government sector experience, including working in small project teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver data science solutions with Microsoft technologies.
  • Design and implement ML models, model training, validation, and implementation of such models for scoring/inferencing.
  • Manage the lifecycle of ML models using ML Ops.
  • Experience with Classification models, Regression/forecasting models, Clustering models, Computer vision, Generative AI / Natural Language processing - LLM/SLM Models.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A deep understanding of ML models and their applications.
  • Practical experience in ML Ops and management of ML model lifecycles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply judgment and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated government sector experience, including working in small project teams.

You will also need to have experience with design and implementation of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pattern and factual grounding techniques, as well as experience in developing and deploying Python web applications using Azure Cloud.
