Job Title: Orange Door Practitioner

As an Orange Door Practitioner, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and high-quality support to children, young people, and families experiencing family violence or requiring assistance with care and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a first point of contact, offering information, advice, and conducting risk assessments to guide appropriate responses.
  • Work closely with a Team Leader from partner organisations, receiving formal supervision from a Uniting Team Leader.
  • Provide ongoing practice support and guidance through regular meetings with Practice Leaders.
Requirements:
  • Current Victorian Driver's License
  • Minimum qualification is a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent
  • Relevant professional experience or related qualification in child and family welfare
  • Significant cultural knowledge and experience or lived experience, having faced barriers to educational pathways
  • Mandatory qualifications for family violence practitioners
  • Knowledge of MARAM and Best Interests of the Child Framework
  • Experience in intake settings and child and family services
  • Previous experience in family violence
