Project Engineer - Mechanical

Bayside Group is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer with expertise in mechanical engineering to lead the design and implementation of a major infrastructure project in Sydney's south.

Role Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design of an entire product manufacturing line, ensuring seamless translation of production chemistry into a robust production process. Your responsibilities will include managing safety, GMP, and product quality from concept through to operational planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project requirements and develop vendor engagement strategies;
  • Manage procurement specifications and participate in procurement activities;
  • Collaborate with selected vendors on design development and interface with stakeholders;
  • Manage safety and GMP risks and plan for operational readiness;
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery;
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in managing complex projects;
  • Strong skills in scope management, cost control, time management, and contract management;
  • Innovative mindset with a strong sense of design and coordination;
  • Australian citizenship;
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or nuclear sectors is highly desirable.
