CQUniversity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at CQUniversity's Student Residences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Lead a team of culinary staff and provide guidance and training to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Develop and implement creative menus and catering concepts to meet the needs of students and guests.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a higher education or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and develop staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Creativity and passion for producing high-quality meals and catering for events.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
