Job Description

This role is a part-time opportunity to coordinate the Independent Learning Project (ILP) program and support rural research initiatives.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and advancing rural medical education, while working closely with the Local Health District and Primary and Rural Health Networks.

The role involves coordinating ILP projects relevant to local area health issues, supporting the teaching and service missions of the Rural Clinical Campuses, and contributing to the academic education program at the campus.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A BMedMD, MBBS or equivalent medical degree with relevant professional expertise and eligible for medical registration in New South Wales, and/or a PhD in Biomedical Science or a related discipline.
  • Evidence and maintenance of professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and professional accreditation requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching in biomedical sciences, clinical medicine and/or related health discipline including development, delivery and course convening at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • A strong commitment to rurally focussed teaching and research to improve patient and local healthcare outcomes.
  • A track record of successful interaction and involvement with relevant authorities, professional organisations, research and training institutes and health networks.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
