We are seeking a highly skilled ESG Specialist to join our Sustainable Finance team in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainable finance and ESG, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Lead individual assignments on ESG and sustainable financing instruments and frameworks in Japan and/or APAC.
- Develop subject matter expertise to support ESG in ratings, interacting with credit rating analytical teams to incorporate environmental, social, and governance factors in credit risk analysis.
- Represent the team in external engagements, including market outreach and customer interactions.
- Conduct research and analysis on ESG themes and their impact on organizations in Japan and the wider region.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our analytical approaches.
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, finance, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in sustainable finance or ESG, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English.
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
