Research Associate

We are seeking a skilled Research Associate to support our national studies "MindCare" and "MindCare4Women," funded by the Australian government. These research projects focus on reducing dementia risk in culturally diverse communities.
This role will involve assisting the Principal Investigator and Project Manager with tasks such as preparing ethics amendments, supporting literature reviews, coordinating workshops, aiding recruitment efforts, translating materials into Arabic for African communities, and collecting qualitative and quantitative data.
- Support Research Activities: Assist with ethics applications, stakeholder coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting to ensure project progress.
- Literature Reviews: Contribute to literature searches, screening, and academic reviews, including scoping and systematic reviews.
- Culturally Sensitive Engagement: Support the recruitment and engagement of culturally diverse community members for research studies.
- Event Coordination: Organise and facilitate workshops, surveys, interviews, and forums to gather insights and feedback.
Key Requirements:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in health sciences or a related field, with evidence of further study relevant to the field.
- Cultural Competence: We seek a candidate with strong knowledge of and connections to African cultures.
- Language: Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Research Experience: Demonstrated experience in research activities, including ethics applications, stakeholder coordination, participant recruitment, data collection, and reporting.
