Nurse Unit Manager Position

This is a rewarding opportunity to lead our nursing team at our Frenchs Forest clinic. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be responsible for managing the nursing team to meet the needs of our strategy, vision and values.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical knowledge and skills, leadership, and effective communication to ensure a positive engaged workforce and appropriate resource management.

This role will have both clinical and non-clinical components depending on the centre needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide Nursing Leadership and workforce management.
  • Excel in Clinical service planning and management.
  • Set performance goals with the team and enable these to be achieved.
  • Actively support and champion our initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of the nursing team.
  • Drive and lead the implementation of project initiatives.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 5 years nursing with at least 3 years Medical Oncology experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and the ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines and standards.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients and their carer's.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
