The Opportunity

Our Real Estate practice group is looking for a Conveyancing Administrator to join our team in Melbourne. As a Conveyancing Administrator, you will provide high-level administrative support to our Conveyancing team with a focus on the tracking of trust monies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate and track trust monies - this includes deposits, sending out trust deposit receipts, identifying and tracking unidentified trust monies.
  • Liaise with Business Finance Trust Accounting Team on new trust accounting processes.
  • Matter opening, ongoing maintenance, and billing.
  • Maintenance of off-plan development project spreadsheets including recording details of deposits, tax file numbers, option schedules, etc.
  • Provide timely and accurate administrative support to licensed conveyancers.
  • Deliver high-quality, accurate work while managing deadlines, responding to change, and the competing priorities of all work.
  • Assist with updating client information and relevant databases in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a legal secretary within a Real Estate/Property team.
  • Experience supporting a conveyancing practice, specifically off-plan conveyancing is desirable.
  • A working understanding of managing trust monies in a conveyancing context.
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy in output is essential.
  • Experience with Aderant Expert is desirable.
  • High level of proficiency with the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint), in particular, Excel is essential.
