Deli Assistant Job Description

We are a rapidly expanding family business recognized for our fresh produce and exceptional customer service to the community.

As we expand our operations to become a one-stop shop with a butcher, bakery, seafood department, and full-service bistro, we are seeking a skilled Deli Assistant to join our team.

This role will involve:

  • Providing outstanding customer service, including slicing small goods and cutting/grating cheeses
  • Replenishing and packaging products in a timely manner
  • Setting up visually appealing product displays
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborating effectively with our team members

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of six months' experience working in a delicatessen environment
  • Proficiency in using deli equipment, including slicers and graters
  • Familiarity with handling and food safety procedures
