Software Engineer - AI Practice

We're seeking a skilled developer to join our core team and contribute to the design, development and implementation of innovative AI-powered tools for software engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build AI-driven developer tools using Python, with occasional TypeScript and .NET touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, education partners, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are robust, well-documented, and seamlessly integrated into Xero's CI/CD pipelines.
  • Prototype, develop and productionize AI-driven developer tools, working predominantly in Python, with occasional TypeScript and .NET touchpoints.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Python, with 2+ years of experience building production-grade services or AI integrations.
  • Knowledge of .NET, including reading and contributing to C#/.NET Core libraries and CLI tools.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as Azure or AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Ability to balance research requirements and practical constraints, with an understanding of multi-agent algorithms and their applications.
  • Curious and collaborative spirit, with the ability to learn unfamiliar systems, debug cross-language integrations, and partner closely with other engineering teams.
