Behavioural Support Professional

We are seeking a skilled Behavioural Support Professional to join our team. This role is focused on improving the quality of life of individuals with disabilities through positive behaviour strategies and collaboration.

This role involves building close relationships with participants, their families, and service providers by creating a supportive and safe environment.

  • Responsibilities:
">
  • Provide professional information to people with disability and their support circle regarding evidence-based approaches to reduce the impact of challenging behaviour
">
  • Ensure the support that we deliver aligns with the participant's NDIS Plan
">
  • Undertake behavioural assessments with NDIS participants who have complex and challenging behaviours
">
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and families
">
  • Ensure support plans, notes, and documents are recorded in line with the NDIS framework and with a high level of care and accuracy
">

Requirements:

">
  • Completed degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or similar
">
  • Experience or knowledge of contemporary practices and trends in relation to service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities
">
  • The ability to motivate, build rapport, and attune with participants, their families, and service providers - you are a true people person
">
  • A current driver's licence with a willingness and ability to drive to offsite meetings and attend client visits. Pool vehicles are provided.
">
