The Facilities Operations Manager will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of facilities to ensure optimal performance and utilization of infrastructure. This role is responsible for leading a team of specialists, focusing on operational effectiveness, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Directing facilities' operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, including predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Developing equipment maintenance scheduling plans and conducting regular inspections and testing in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Maintaining all structures, systems, sub-systems, and components in compliance with original equipment manufacturers' instructions and industry standard practices.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the planned maintenance program and implementing modifications to reduce equipment failures or increase efficiency.

In addition, this role will be responsible for formulating and enforcing operational and maintenance standards that support company objectives, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.

This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly work plans, and demonstrate experience incorporating environmental health and safety practices across responsible work areas.

A minimum of five years of experience supporting projects of similar scope, size, and complexity, as well as a minimum of two consecutive years of supervisory experience in the field of facilities maintenance, are required for this role.

Please note that this is a 24x7 operation requiring provision of on-call support, and the successful candidate will need to travel between facilities in Alice Springs and the local area, with a requirement to be onsite 100% of the time.
