Volunteer Opportunity

FitSkills is an evidence-based physical activity program for individuals with Down syndrome. The program matches participants with volunteer partners, promoting social interaction and exercise.

The program runs throughout the term, with weekly gym sessions and meals with other participants and volunteers.

As a volunteer, you will be matched with an adult with Down syndrome and attend one of the FitSkills locations. Your commitment includes:

  • Completing compliance requirements
  • Attending gym sessions with your partner once a week, followed by meals with the group
  • Supporting your partner in their FitSkills journey
  • Liaising with the physiotherapist during assessment appointments

We are seeking volunteers in the Geelong area to support this initiative.
