Delivering Exceptional Renal Care Services.

  • This challenging role offers the opportunity to contribute to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with kidney disease. Collaborate with a dedicated renal multidisciplinary team to develop and implement projects that improve health outcomes, working closely with clinicians to deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive care to patients with kidney disease.
  • Culturally safe and appropriate healthcare services are essential in this role. Ensure provision of these services to patients with kidney disease while working primarily based in Doomadgee with occasional travel to other facilities or units within the Northwest Hospital and Health Service.
Key Requirements:
  • Able to provide proof of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage (genuine occupational requirement).
  • In possession of a C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted, including Criminal History checks. A Working with Children check may also be required prior to appointment.
  • As a VPD risk role, evidence of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis may be required.
  • A period of probation may apply upon successful appointment.
Benefits Package:
  • Competitive base salary between $75,090 and $103,261 p.a.
  • Isolation bonus: AUD$3,500 for one year; AUD$10,500 for two years; AUD$7,000 for third year and every year thereafter.
  • Provision of 2 return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with recreation leave.
  • Employer superannuation contribution of 12.75%.
