Automotive Spray Painter

About the Role

Konnecting is seeking a skilled Automotive Spray Painter to join our team of experts in the Hunter Region. As a Spray Painting Specialist, you will be responsible for applying paint on all components produced in the workshop, inspecting vehicle surfaces for any rough spots requiring sanding or treatment, mixing and preparing paint for application, and powder-coating, checking the quality and depth of paintwork, and polishing the finished product.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint on all components produced in the workshop.
• Inspect vehicle surfaces for any rough spots requiring sanding or treatment.
• Mix and prepare paint for application.
• Powder-coat, check the quality and depth of paintwork, and polish the finished product.
• Use a full paint extraction system, with the latest safety equipment, including a fully aspirated breathing apparatus.

Requirements

• Trade Qualified Spray Painter.
• Ability to use suction feed spray guns with two-pack solid and metallic paints.
• Recent experience in the Automotive Spray Painting Industry will be highly regarded.
• Able to follow specific work instructions, have a keen eye for detail, and take pride in your workmanship.
• Highly competent in all areas of body repair and experienced.
• Committed to achieving complete customer satisfaction.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard at all times.
• Health & Safety must be a priority.
• Experience in smash repairs on all types of vehicles.
• Current driver's license and reliable transport are a must.
• Punctual, reliable, and available for work.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• A great attitude towards work and helping others.
