We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team at Marble, a leading mining principal with a strong portfolio of operating assets. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our underground mining operations.

• Provide geotechnical services to the mine, including understanding, complying, mentoring, and liaising with business partners to promote full statutory compliance with mining regulations, legislation, and company safety objectives.
• Conduct daily production tasks related to geotechnical engineering, including review of development plans, blast plans, documentation of inspections and data collection, geotechnical monitoring, rehabilitation plans, stope design, level plan design, paste backfill design, and ground support QAQC.
• Collect and analyze geotechnical parameters to ensure future mining recommendations are forthcoming when required.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of excavation design, planning, geological, and operational issues to identify and communicate potential opportunities and concerns.
• Collect and analyze geotechnical data, including effective recognition, investigation, analysis of rock fall events, and ground control issues.
• Ensure that the geotechnical life of mine contributions are of the highest quality by determining design parameters, modeling, and advising on the most appropriate mine design and sequence, including future mine projects.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Geology with Post Graduate qualifications in Geomechanics.
• Operational geotechnical engineering experience in underground mining.
• Experience using Deswik, Rocscience software, numerical modeling software.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work autonomously.
