Job Description

Job Summary

The Classroom Teacher - Education Professional will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering educational programs to achieve specific student outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the relevant curriculum and be able to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills into their teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning and wellbeing
  • Participate in the development of school policies and programs, and assist in the implementation of school priorities
  • Supervise and train student teachers, and participate in induction programs and professional learning activities

Requirements

  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience in planning for and implementing high-impact teaching strategies
  • Ability to monitor and assess student learning, and use data to inform teaching practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
