Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Therapist to join our team at NT Health. As a key member of our oral health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, culturally appropriate, and effective oral health treatment and promotion to eligible clients in the Top End, Big Rivers, and East Arnhem regions of the Northern Territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oral health treatment and promotion to eligible clients in accordance with scope of practice.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Develop and implement oral health programs to promote healthy habits and prevent disease.
- Conduct assessments and provide treatment plans to clients with complex oral health needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Professional 1 level of experience in dental therapy or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of oral health principles and practices, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases.
- Current registration with the relevant professional body.
