About the Role:This position involves leading commercial and financial activities for power development projects, including contracting and capital financing. It also requires coordinating project financial modelling and managing commercial procurement, negotiating contracts with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise from an energy utility, a top-tier consulting firm or investment banking background, and will play a pivotal role in shaping our procurement and negotiation practices.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of establishing and managing high-value contracts on infrastructure projects exceeding $500 million in value, as well as experience in renewable energy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead all commercial and financial activities for power development projects, including contracting and capital financing.
- Coordinate project financial modelling and manage commercial procurement, negotiating contracts with OEMs and other counterparties.
- Administer grant funding agreements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver against project development goals, managing feasibility studies and preparing reports on operating methods and business options.
- A minimum of 15 years in project financing and infrastructure procurement, ideally from an energy utility, top-tier consulting firm or investment banking background.
- Substantial experience at a senior commercial level, with a proven track record in establishing and managing high-value contracts on infrastructure projects exceeding $500 million in value.
- Strong project development and delivery experience, particularly in renewable energy initiatives, with the ability to assess commercial opportunities in terms of costs, profits, markets, and added value.
