We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Primary Learning Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Student Learning Support team, you will play a critical role in collaborating with primary teachers, students, and parents to provide individualized interventions and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison between primary teachers and the Student Learning Support team to provide individualized interventions for students.
Assess, observe, and support students who require marginal learning support, working closely with primary teachers to develop targeted strategies and interventions.
Guide teachers in planning and implementing effective learning interventions and activities to identify students with marginal needs, using data-driven approaches to inform decision-making.
Provide advice to primary school teachers on managing student behavior, including students with disabilities or those requiring marginal support.
Ensure compliance with school policies and child safety regulations, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment at all times.
Requirements:
A master's or bachelor's degree in learning support or equivalent qualification is desirable.
Relevant experience in special education, particularly in supporting students with diverse needs, is essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents, are crucial for success in this role.
Experience in using digital tools to support learning, such as Microsoft Teams and Google Classroom, is highly valued.
