About the Job

As a skilled tradesperson, you will be working on a major infrastructure project in Perth, with exposure to a range of iconic projects and industries.

  • The role involves reading drawings, work orders, and production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.
  • You will need to select, clean, and prepare metal stock, fabrication tools, and equipment for various tasks.
  • Key responsibilities include installing, fabricating, welding, and repairing structural components, pipe supports, caissons, and J-Tube installations using cutting/welding equipment and boiler making tools.
  • Fitting and assembling metal components by riveting, bolting, welding, brazing, or soldering is also essential.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal using gas shielded metal arc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical documentation to determine work requirements.
  • Select and prepare materials and equipment for tasks.
  • Install, fabricate, weld, and repair metal components.
  • Operate various machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
