About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Clinical Nurse - ECT Coordinator within Northern Mental Health.

The ECT Coordinator is located at the Lyell McEwin Hospital, Mental Health Short Stay Unit (SSU) and works under the supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager and Director for ECT. This position holds responsibility for coordinating the administration preparation of ECT that includes inpatient and outlier services related to NALHN.

The role supports the prescribing psychiatrists, inpatient and community mental health teams with the process of ECT, and provides education to patients, families, and clinicians, coordinating and providing appropriate liaison regarding the provision of ECT services, managing flow and triage of patients referred.

Requirements:

  • National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups required for this position.

Immunisation Risk for this position is – Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances).

SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
