Blueberry Crop Specialist

Western Berry Company is seeking a dedicated Blueberry Crop Specialist to play a crucial role in ensuring the health and productivity of our blueberry and olive crops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production, growth targets, and plant health in consultation with the team
  • Assist in cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of blueberry and olive crops
  • Monitor plant health, identify pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies, and implement appropriate measures for pest control
  • Conduct soil sampling and analysis to assess soil fertility and recommend amendments
  • Collaborate with farm managers and agronomists to develop crop management plans
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in agriculture or horticulture will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of blueberry cultivation practices, soil management, and pest control techniques
  • Familiarity with agricultural machinery operation and maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
