Senior Occupational Therapist - Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH)

About the Job

We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team delivering older peoples mental health services in Orange. Our team provides ongoing recovery oriented assessment and treatment through case management, aimed at improving the quality of life for older people with mental health needs living in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for older persons with mental health needs.
  • Provide therapy and support to individuals and groups to improve their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to clients.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote mental health and wellbeing in the community.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in occupational therapy, preferably in mental health settings.
  • Experience working with older adults with mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
