Role Overview
The Quantitative Strategies division manages approximately $28 billion in active, factor-based equity strategies for institutional and intermediary clients worldwide. With headquarters in Chicago and representation in key global cities, we are seeking a leader to oversee our operations in the Asia-Pacific region, guiding the business, mentoring a dedicated team, and acting as the primary representative for clients in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the strategic and commercial objectives of the APAC Quantitative Strategies business in collaboration with global and regional stakeholders, focusing on both platform development and market positioning. Serve as a representative of the Quant team in APAC, contributing to the global leadership team and aligning the commercial and research agendas. Formulate and execute the strategic plan for the region. Lead and nurture the team of client portfolio managers in APAC. Collaborate with local Product and Sustainability teams, as well as global Research teams, to innovate new strategies and ideas. Enhance the visibility and thought leadership of Quantitative Strategies within the APAC market. Work alongside the local Marketing team to develop messaging and promotional materials. Represent the Quantitative Strategies platform in client meetings, conferences, webinars, and other relevant events. Co-author white papers and research publications of both global and local significance.Candidate Profile:
Over 10 years of relevant experience in the financial sector. Proven track record of engaging with sophisticated investors globally and fostering long-term relationships. In-depth knowledge of the APAC institutional quantitative investment landscape, including asset owners, competitors, and pertinent regulations. Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to convey complex quantitative concepts to diverse audiences. Proficient in simplifying intricate material into a coherent narrative. Strong communication skills to connect with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent writing capabilities, evidenced by a history of published articles and research papers. Comprehensive understanding of local sustainability and ESG issues, with a focus on integration and innovative solutions. CFA, MBA, or PhD credentials are advantageous.Working Environment:
