About the Role

As a proactive and dynamic Quality Assurance Coordinator at Asahi Beverages, you will embark on a compelling journey where innovation and excellence define our commitment to quality. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in managing the laboratory team and functions, driving continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance performance while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategise, supervise, and coordinate resources for laboratory functions, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Laboratory performance, including communication, 5S, and structured improvement.
  • Manage Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs, including GLP, GMP, quality specification management, pest control and calibration of laboratory instruments.
  • Oversee training of personnel in Quality, Hygiene, and GLP responsibilities.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement of quality assurance/control processes within manufacturing
  • Participate or lead manufacturing quality problems solving activities
  • Control stock take, purchasing, suppliers, and budget for site and lab consumables.
  • Maintain ISO and HACCP requirements for the laboratories and coordinate internal audits.
  • Lead and manage the laboratory team, being the go-to person and subject matter expert for our laboratory technicians.
  • Responsible for maintaining all process and stability within the laboratory function and for the sensory program.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5-8 years' experience in Quality, Production or Continuous Improvement positions in an FMCG Manufacturing environment
  • Qualifications in Continuous Improvement Systems (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in database systems, including SAP.
  • You excel in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and driving collective success.
  • You have a proven track record in driving and managing change initiatives, guiding teams through transitions with resilience and adaptability.
  • You have a desire to lead and develop teams to achieve their full potential, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
